Lacey’s Family Shoot

A Christmas Present For Their Grandma!

Lacey had a brilliant idea for her grandmother’s Christmas present this year. A photograph with her brother Eric and cousin Belinda holding a photograph of their late grandfather. We chose what used to be her grandmother’s backyard for the location, and to add even more significance to the session used their grandfather’s old tractor for the shot with the photograph. It was a lovely, chilly afternoon and I had a great time photographing them as they goofed off together. They’re such a lovely family! I think it’s so important that we take the time to photograph our loved ones. And what a thoughtful gift. Fingers crossed for Grandma’s approval!

Laid back, in love, & having a terrific party!

It was such a treat to have the opportunity to take both Chris & Dan’s engagement photos and wedding photos! This couple is just so super cool. They’re laid back, in love, and know how to have a good time: what more do you need for a fantastic wedding?

I knew when the day began with the bride rocking out pop dance music with her girlfriends getting ready, it was going to be a really fun day. I don’t think the smiles ever left their faces. It’s so awesome to see a couple really just ENJOY their big day. It can be so stressful, I know it was for me personally, so I really admired their ROLL WITH IT attitude. The venue was beautiful, the details thoughtfully planned, and the party went late into the night. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.

A Wedding in Walla Walla, WA

Matt and I were on the road again for our next wedding celebration, this time to Walla Walla, WA: a place so nice they named it twice! We met Kelsey skiing with some friends last year and when it came time to hunt down a photographer for his beautiful wedding, we were so happy he thought of us!

Kelsey and Sheri really love black and white photographs, so originally I planned for their post to be entirely in black and white. But, apparently I’m just too addicted to color to convert them all! What is really neat about shooting digitally is that we will be able to give them all of our favorites in both color AND in black and white, so they can choose how they like them best.

Kelsey and Sheri are so sweet and welcoming; we had such a blast at this wedding. We stayed late into the night after we were through shooting to celebrate, and I’m so glad we did because we caught a few shots of friends having a really good time! We even got invited to join them for a beer the night before at a local pub, and Matt took a quick group shot of Kelsey with his friends and family from places near and far. Over all, it was a very memorable weekend and a wonderful wedding!

Halloween Party Photo Booth

Happy Halloween! Over the weekend, Matthew and I went to celebrate at a friend’s KILLER party “Dance ‘Till You’re Dead” and brought the So Many Moments photo booth along for the ride! We got to see so many fabulous costumes and dance our little hearts out when DJ Gray Matter hit the tables! Here are just a few funny stills from different strips, but you can see HUNDREDS more on the website or the facebook page. If you check out the gallery on SoManyMoments.com (under tab Halloween!) you can even order your favorite stills enlarged and printed up on fancy metallic paper!

Please remember our booth is available for rental, do I smell some extra fun at an upcoming holiday party? Check out how many Muppets fit into this one shot! I think they set a new record, even with those extra large heads!

Birthday Wedding in Cape San Blas, FL

Matthew and I had the awesome opportunity to fly cross country to Port San Blas, in the panhandle of Florida, for John and Jennifer’s lovely wedding celebration. John and Jennifer have the same birthday, making it an obviously rad choice for their wedding date. They also share the same initials now that they’re married, and a deep love for music. We were blown away when Jennifer sang the most beautiful song to John during their ceremony. Both of their families were so warm and welcoming, making it such a pleasure to spend the day with them all! We wish them nothing but the best in the years of happiness ahead!

Megan’s Carousel Shoot

Carousel Fashion Shoot

Earlier this year I ran a special for a carousel photo shoot, and that’s when I first met Vanessa. She brought along her friend Megan, who was clearly trying to be super supportive and have fun, but made it quite apparent she was jealous she wasn’t there to shoot as well. Fast forward a few months and I’m looking for a hair/make-up artist for my wedding. Vanessa has just graduated beauty school and posted a photo on herself Facebook with hair up in this beautiful flowing pony tail. It was romantic with big loose curls, EXACTLY how I wanted my hair for my wedding.

I invited Vanessa over and we came up with a win-win scenario of a partial trade. Her end of the deal includes another carousel shoot, but this time, for her best friend Megan. It was the perfect birthday present for her friend, and I was happy to be part of the game plan. I suppose it’s just a reminder for me that with a little creativity, solutions can be found that work in everyone’s best interest. I love win-win scenarios! And I loved shooting the carousel again with Megan. She invited Vanessa to hop up with her at the end of the shoot for a best friend photo. The picture perfect ending to a story about friendship.

Kristin & Mark’s Bridal Veil Wedding

Summer Oregon Wedding in the Columbia River Gorge

Sometimes our clients find us online, through the WPJA or Facebook, but sometimes they’re friends! We met Kristin & Mark through mutual friends and got to know them on a really awesome white water rafting trip. They’re such a lovely couple, and it was so neat to be there to capture their big day.

The wedding was up at incredible Bridal Veil Lakes in the Columbia River Gorge area of Oregon. It’s such a magical part of the country, and not far from where Matthew and I promised our own wedding vows to one another just a tiny bit earlier in the summer.

Kristin and Mark took full advantage of the location, utilizing even the lake itself when she boldly got into a canoe in her wedding gown! It was such a beautiful day, with so many wonderful friends and family out to join them. They even included their dog, Daisy, as the ring bearer! All in all, another awesome summer Oregon wedding! Congratulations Kristin and Mark!
